Are you looking for a fun way to keep your kids engaged in reading this summer? Look no further, I found a fun way to keep my kids engaged in reading and they absolutely love it! It’s “Our Little Book Club” and I wish I had found it sooner.

It was always my hope that my kids would become voracious and enlightened readers. So I worked hard at it. Taking them to library programs from the time they were babies and reading to them every chance I had.

Well, it worked. It worked perhaps a little too well. I cannot keep up with their appetite for reading. As a matter of fact, since the pandemic hit and the libraries were shut down for business, “Our Little Book Club” is what helped get us through.

Initially, I tried doing a regular book club with other parents but, let me tell you, “adulting” is hard and I’m impatient about waiting on people to get their lives together to send a book in the mail.

So I found a monthly book subscription that works way better. So far, so good. Both kids get a set of books (including an activity book) and a special surprise each month.

They still supplement their books with selections from the library but, they continue to love getting a delivery of brand new books each month just for them.

Benefits of Our Little Book Club

Books Selections from newborn to age 12

If you’re always trying to figure out what to get as a “new baby gift” or for birthdays, this a fabulous idea. My kids are 7 and 10 and they both get a different set of age appropriate books each month.

Hard-Cover Books

If your kids are rough on books like mine are, hardcover books are the best!

Age Appropriate Activities

The doodle/activity book that my kids get each month really help to foster creativity. It’s a great cure for “Mom, I’m bored.” Anytime, my kids utter these words, I send them straight to their respective activity books for some creative time.

Makes a Great Gift

Honestly, most kids have entirely too many toys. Try giving them the gift of reading instead.

Books are Brand New (Germaphobes Rejoice)

If you’re one of the people that cringe about the fact that other people have thumbed through your child’s books, this is for you.

Choose the Plan that’s Right for You

From a one time order, to 3, 6 and even 12 months, you just choose the plan that works for you and your kids. You can cancel at anytime. It averages to be about 3-4 books a month with prices ranging between $14.00-$14.99/month for all those books. That’s not bad for keeping your kids entertained on autopilot.

Now I don’t know about you but, this feels like the best summer parenting hack ever. Plus, new orders ship within 2 days, so you can get your little readers started super quickly.
