Have you ever felt like you needed to get away? It happens to me every winter. Mainly around January or February, when the holidays are over and there is just not enough sunshine to go around.

I’m not fighting it anymore. If there is an opportunity to grab some sunshine, I’m officially bolting towards the sunshine.

These days, the shorter the flight the better. And as long I’ve packed my trusted warm weather essentials, I’m ready to go. And when it comes dressing for warm weather climates, I consider myself a professional.

Here are some basics that you need to pack for your warm weather getaway.

Swimsuit

Wearing: two piece palm printed bikini set , long green open kimono , retro 70’s aviators sunglasses

Hello, of course you need to pack some swimsuits. Packing a few different options is always a great idea. I’m wearing this two piece bikini from Amazon that’s affordable priced. If you’d like a more extensive look at swimsuit and coverup options, check out this post.

Wearing: cropped bell sleeve sweatshirt , similar – ripped denim shorts

This is a great time to stock up on distressed summer denim shorts because most of it is on sale. A little built in air conditioning never hurt anyone.

Wearing: Jersey ballet t-shirt dress. The print I’m wearing is sold out but there are lots of other great prints available.

I love the look and feel of a t-shirt dress. They’re so comfortable and easy to pack. I scored mine during Prime Day sale, and stocked up on lots of colors. Fortunately, they’re still a great buy now.

One of the things I like about warm weather resort wear is that shorts are always an option. You can essentially pair dress shorts with a nice fitting t-shirt and you’re good to go.

Wearing: White t-shirt , quilted belt bag
