Mac Ruby Woo Lipstick

This Thursday is Valentine’s Day. It’s a day to celebrate love and a day that is “colored” in red. Since most of  the world will be buried in red, I probably will not be wearing it on Thursday. But, being the “girlie girl” that I am, I can always throw on some red lipstick.

While red lipstick is not for everyone, it really sort is for everyone. There is a red lipstick for every “mama” out there. From the most mahogany skin tone to skin tones that are as light as ivory, I am sure that there is red for you. You just have to dare to find it. Red lipstick can be found with everything from blue to orange undertones.

Red is bold, captivating, sexy and can be mysterious. All the things that a “home life stylist”, can find it hard to emit on a daily basis. All the more reasons to wear it right?  I watched the Grammy’s last night and of course red lips were all over the red carpet. Artists like Beyonce and Rhianna “rocked the carpet” in red lips last night.

But thank God that you don’t have to be rich and famous to wear red lipstick. I feel like red lipstick is not only bold and captivating but, it is a metaphor for how I want to live my life. Not necessarily “put in a box” by any one’s terms but my own. So because someone else calls you mommy and your top priority is your home and family, you can’t change it up a bit? Well, I guess you know how I feel.

So bring some Va-Va voom to your Valentine’s Day by cranking things up a bit with some red lipstick.

My favorite red lipstick is Ruby Woo from Mac. What’s your favorite red?

Happy Valentine’s Day!

After reading this I have been wanting to try the ruby woo, but live in a small town with no access to Mac, among other things. Any way I took an quick trip out of town and got to purchase the ruby woo with their cherry liner. I love the staying power, but not being used to matte finishes, felt it was a bit dry. When I use a little gloss on top it’s perfect.

So glad that you got to try it. That’s how I wear mine too.. Just a little gloss on the pucker will take you a long way.
