It’s official. I see tinsel and lights popping up around every corner, so it’s safe to say that the holidays are here. One thing I won’t be adding to my Christmas list this year is stress. I just want to kick back, relax and be entertained.
I’m grateful that the National Theatre is helping me do just that with their plethora of shows and events. One of which is The Illusionists: Magic of the Holidays which will be coming to the National Theatre for one week only from December 3rd to 8th.

My philosphy is always work hard, play harder. And one of my favorite ways to play is with dinner and a show.
The Illusionists is packed with entertaining illusions sure to keep audiences at the edge of their seats.
I’m excited to be headed to the show for opening night. But even more thrilling is that I’m partnering with the National Theatre to giveaway a four pack of tickets to one of my readers!
Seriously, how exciting is that?

Update 12/4/19 Review of Illusionists Magic of the Holidays

I took my daughter to see the Illusionists Magic of the Holidays on opening night. There was lots of audience participation and it was a fun show. There was one 15 minute intermission and me made a bolt for some snacks.
As far as the show goes, I didn’t care for one of the scenes that made reference to Jesus’ miracles. But all in all, the tricks were well executed. Other than that, we had a fun night out in DC and the Illusionists was a great show. So if you’re looking for something to over over the holidays in Washington DC, consider going to the National Theatre and seeing the Illusionists.
Enjoy the show!
