Whether you call them strawberry chicken wings or strawberry hot wings, these tasty wings are super delicious and make great game day, movie night, special occasion or festive occasions any time of the year.

These wings are so tasty and delicious, you just have to try them for yourself. This health conscious recipe gets bonus points because these wings are baked and not fried.

Game day will never be he same with this delicious recipe around. As a matter of fact, you might as well go ahead and stop ordering wings all together and make these wings yourself. My main gripe with some hot wing recipes is that they tend to get soggy when loaded down with all the sauce. You can bake these wings up and then add as much strawberry barbecue sauce to your liking.

Once prepared, these strawberry chicken wings are super delicious. Here’s what you’ll need to make them.

Tools You Need:

baking sheet

Ingredients in Strawberry Barbecue Hot Wings

  • chicken wings
  • sea salt
  • paprika
  • poultry seasoning
  • barbecue sauce
  • strawberry jam or strawberry preserves
  • hot sauce (use your favorite)
  • optional: cayenne pepper

How to Make Sticky Strawberry Barbecue Hot Wings

Step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degree F.

Step 2: Rinse and pat wings dry.

Step 3: Season with salt, paprika and poultry seasoning and evenly coat.

Step 4: Spray a sheet pan with coconut oil spray.

Step 5: If not yet separated, separate wings (flats from the drumettes).

Step 6: Place wings on sheet pan evenly spaced.

Step 7: Spray or brush the chicken wings with oil or cooking oil spray.

Step 8: Bake for one hour, turning half way in between.

Step 9: Finish under broiler for the last five minutes of cooking.

Step 10: While the chicken is broiling, simmer barbecue sauce, hot sauce and strawberry jam on low heat for about five minutes or until well combined.

See, the wings out of the oven are nice and dry. You could just eat them straight out the oven but, don’t do that. Ok…maybe you can go ahead and taste one. But, you’ve got to coat them with the good stuff. So toss them in as little or as much of the strawberry barbecue sauce as you like.

Step 11: Remove wings from oven and toss in strawberry sauce as little or as much as you’d like.

Step 12: Garnish with fresh strawberries.

Tips to Make Strawberry Hot Wings Extra Good

So, here’s my secret to get the skin extra crispy. No soggy wings here. Thoroughly dry the wings with a paper towel before your season them. Then coat them with non-stick coconut oil spray.

If you’re not going to be tossing the wings right away them right away, use a cooling rack like this one.

Garnish with fresh strawberries and scallions. Serve with crunchy celery and or carrot sticks.

Finish these wings off with some scallions and the party has begun.

PS: You don’t even have to share if you don’t want to.
