Do you remember the Chicken Soup for the Soul book series? It is an uplifting life-improving company that started with books, but now has DVD’s , books, movies and online resources. Kind of an odd name for what started out as books, but has nothing to do with food.
The truth is, there is something powerful about soup. It warms your heart. It warms your soul. Eating a bowl of warm soup is like getting an embrace from a dear friend. It’s like wrapping yourself in a warm towel straight from the dryer. The feelings are overwhelmingly good. The other thing about soup…it’s as individual as those that eat and prepare it.

It can be cold and fresh; but most of us prefer it to be warm and inviting. Put any vegetables, meats, pasta, seafood, herbs in a liquid broth or juice and you have a soup.
Basically, the only thing that stands between you and warm culinary goodness in a bowl is you! So, click on over to 5 minutes for Mom and get my recipe for Slow Cooker Kale Sausage and Lentil Soup. Don’t let the kale scare you. This soup is good for the soul!
