So it happened again. Ever year without fail, my invite to the Oscars get’s lost in the mail. Go figure… I’m not going to fret about it though. Nothing like a bowl of delicious Oscar popcorn to get those taste buds going. And let me tell you, the flavors in this popcorn do not disappoint.

Cheese

Since this gourmet popcorn only has a few ingredients, only the best will do. Not just any Parmesan cheese but Parmesan Regiano. Go to the cheese section of the grocery store and select the best aged Parmesan Regiano you can get. I got my hands on a 12 month aged block from Italy.

Popcorn

Organic, salt free and butter free. Don’t worry we’ll dress it up later. I used Newman’s natural popcorn in this recipe.

Salt

Now this is where we kick things up a bit more. Don’t just grab your regular table salt or sea salt for this Oscar worthy popcorn. Instead we’re using pink Himalayan salt. YES! Stick with me here. The flavor is deeper, much different from table salt. Himalayan salt is also healthier with a long history that goes back to the beginning of time. (Read more about Himalayan salt).

Now that we’ve gone over the important stuff, here’s how to make this Oscar Parmesan Herb Popcorn. You’ll never look at popcorn the same way again.
