I really like oatmeal… maybe a little too much. It’s quick. It’s versatile. It’s healthy and yummy. So when we had way too many cranberries left over from Thanksgiving recently…I made Orange-Scented Cranberry Oatmeal of course. Isn’t that what you would do?


Orange-Scented Cranberry Oatmeal
A healthy and tasty breakfast that will fill you up! You will never look at cranberries the same.

Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 oatmeal
- 1 1/4 almond milk
- 1 cup cranberries
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1–2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp fresh grated orange zest
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 pinch sea salt
Instructions
- Place milk cranberries, cinnamon, vanilla and milk in medium saucepan
- Heat cranberries and milk (on medium heat) until cranberries just start to “pop and burst”. Monitor closely as the milk can boil quickly. (about 10 min)
- Once the cranberries start to burst add oatmeal, sugar, salt and orange zest
- Cook oatmeal for 15 minutes or until desired texture is achieved
- Serve hot
