My life’s circus. There…I said it. Not in a bad way. I just mean things are always moving, and shaking with lots of fun and music mixed in for extra measure. Let’s take last month (May), for example. I counted last night and I traveled 4 times in May. My groom went on at least double that in terms of business trips in one month. Factor in 4 separate cases of stomach flu, homeschooling, 2 at home businesses, an emergency room visit, a tv appearance and the kids normal activities and things around here were pretty interesting.
But no matter how crazy things get we always press the pause button for some fun. We work hard and you can bet that we play hard too. So when Universoul Circus said they were saving some seats for us at opening night of the circus the night before little man’s last day of playschool. I said, “of course”!
I took the kids to the circus once before but they were too young to remember. And let me be honest here, I am a dancing queen. I could not pass up the opportunity to go the Universoul Circus because they keep the music jamming and have lots of soul.
Soca, R&B, hip hop, gospel, African dance music and even some genres that I didn’t recognize. Don’t tell anyone but, I may or may not have gotten out of my seat a few times. I mean…what is a woman supposed to do when “Hip Hop Hooray” starts playing?
Besides that, at the Universoul Circus you can expect audience participation, performances from all over the world, variety and FUN, FUN, FUN.
The Universoul Circus is playing now in Baltimore until June 18 and you can get tickets. The DMV can also catch the show at the Fed Ex field later that month. Check their website for availability and more cities to be announced soon.
