Now I’m a modern gal but, I love when classic meets modern style. Think Jackie O’ meets Sarah Jessica Parker. Winter gives me an excuse to dress up with all those extra bells and whistles. It’s the perfect time to reach in the back of the closet… dusting off hats and bags to get through those chilly months after Christmas.

My style is a compilation of old and new so, some of these pieces have been a part of my wardrobe for a while. But the premise is, when you invest in quality pieces, you can easily change up the accessories and have a timeless apporach to fashion.

I scooped up my bucket hat a few years ago and all though the exact style is no longer available, this Kate Spade cutie is a close match.

I love when my curls and my hat play nicely together.

The dress is comfortable yet sophisticated.

The asymterical line at the top gives a certain playfullness to an otherwise, “let’s get down to business” look.

Although the exact dress that I’m wearing is sold out, I found this cute Jackie O’ dress lookalike from Black Halo that comes in red, black and wine.

The black skinny belt does a good job of tying the look all together. I like that this dress can easily go from church to state dinner without much of a fuss.

That’s the reason I come back to it time and time again.
