Sweater dresses are the style that just doesn’t go away. As you transition from winter to spring, I’ll show you why sweater dresses are still a closet staple and how to wear sweater dresses now and later.

Stylish sweater dresses are true transitional spring wear. You can dress them up or down or style them with sandals, sneakers or boots. In addition, the great thing about buying a sweater dress at this time of year is that prices are pretty great since we’re slowly transitioning into the next season.

At Home Try On

Depending on where you live, late winter and early spring style can be pretty tricky. One day, it’s super cold and the next day, you’re ready to pull out the shorts and flip flops.

Sweater Dress Street Style

I scored this cute pale blue sweater dress recently and couldn’t wait to try it on. It’s one of those dresses that you can wear with a jacket, blazer or without. But the truth is, the party is really in the v-back. On days where you won’t be wearing a coat, you can style this with ballet flats, comfy sandals or lacy fashion sneakers for a day out.

You could also belt this sweater dress if you prefer a less blousy look. In the season of “flip flopping” weather, if the weather warms just slip the jacket off and you’re good to go.

It was still very much a winter day when I took this dress for a trial run for a day out in the city. So I paired it with low boots, some leggings and a long blazer to complete the look.
