“I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Calvin Klein. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.”
Do you remember what date nights were like before kids? You probably got your hair and nails done, slipped on something sultry and threw your cautions to the wind, only glancing at your watch if you had to work the next day.
But something happens after marriage and kids. All of a sudden, date nights seem like a lot of work. Somewhere between making dinner, doing the laundry, finding a sitter, signing permission slips, changing dirty diapers… for many, date nights are no longer a priority. Especially if you have young kids at home, date nights can be few and far between. But, the truth is that’s when you need them the most.
So secure sitter, clear your calendar and make some reservations. Here’s how to put the spice back in date nights.
Wear Perfume
Wear a fragrance that makes you feel sexy and flirty. For our recent date night, I wore euphoria Calvin Klein. It definitely is a seductive scent that is inviting and captivating. The perfume can be found at Macy’s and when you buy a full sized euphoria Calvin Klein Fragrance, you will get a live orchid free, while supplies last.
Dress Up
Put the spice back in your date nights and dress up for the occasion. That means outfit, shoes, hair…the whole deal. I picked up this cute leopard print dress at Macy’s for our evening out. Along with my fragrance, Macy’s really is like a one stop shop. If you are going out this Mother’s Day, stop there to get your date night goodies first.
Have Fun
Life is serious enough. Date nights are a great time to be playful and even a little flirty with your husband. Get in touch with that fun, bubble personality and bring it on your date. By the way, I know it’s hard but keep business and conversations about the kids to a minimum.
Be Spontaneous
It’s so easy to get stuck in date ruts. Shake things up by trying new cuisines and new activities for your next date night. Social buying sites make it easy to try new shows and activities at pretty affordable prices. Start small and try going for short walk before or after dinner to shake things up. You may even opt for skipping dessert at your current restaurant and having it somewhere else.
As my groom and I dined at one of my favorite steak restaurants on Monday evening, I paused and saw this sign on the table:
And while that’s true of Mother’s Day, I couldn’t help but think, just like we don’t want to be taken for granted this Mother’s Day or any day for that matter…let’s not take your marriages for granted. Marriage can be hot. Put the spice back in date nights.
