I’m a big fan of juicing. I don’t get to make fresh juices all the time, but when I do, it’s such a special treat. Every person that juices has their own recipe for a green envy green juice recipe. This version uses just three ingredients and is so good and definitely not overpowering.

Juicing separates the pulp from the skin and makes for quick absorption of important vitamins and minerals that the body needs. Making fresh juice is an option for when you need a quick nutritional boost without all the work of slicing and chopping, such as is the case with salads. It’s a replacement. But green juices are definitely a worthy option.

Fresh juice is also portable so there’s another plus there. At the same time, because you’re ingesting the juice apart from the fiber (which is found in the skin), you should be cautious of solely and consistently juicing sugary fruits without vegetables due to sugar spikes that can occur. This is especially true if you show signs of insulin resistance as seen in diabetes.

This green envy fresh green juice contains green apples, parsley and cucumbers. I like to use green or granny smith apples in my juices sometimes because they are not as sweet and have a bit of tartness which I think you’ll enjoy. As I did in this green juice video.

Parsley doesn’t produce a lot of juice. But I like to add to my juices because it has anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer and is immune boosting. When I was growing up, my mom would make fresh carrots and parsley juices and would say, “It builds your blood”.

As a kid, I never really know what that meant. But, now I know that parsley is actually a really good source of folic acid. Parsley is also high in vitamins a, c, k.  In studies, parsley has been used to fight diabetes as it’s great at blood sugar control.

The cucumbers in this juice are hydrating and also refreshing. They are responsible for most of the liquid in this recipe. That’s why I enjoy adding cucumbers to juices. Since cucumbers have a high potassium content, their also good for regulating blood pressure.

Finding a Good Juicer

If you’re going to get serious about juicing, it’s important to get yourself a quality juicer. This Breville juicer is very similar to the one I have. I’ve had it for years and it works really well.

If you’re looking for a new juicer. Here are some options for you to try.
