During the upcoming week, your social calendar is likely to be filled with Christmas parties, dinners and holiday socials. Stress levels will be at their peak as people try to make the social rounds and buy last minute Christmas gifts. While I can’t make the madness go away, I can offer some peace of mind in making your gift selection a little easier. Here are The Domestic Stylist’s top five picks for last-minute hostess gifts that anyone will love.
Vintage Style Apron
Vintage style aprons are not only beautiful to look at but, they are unique! Stores like Sur La Table, have a very nice collection to choose from. Almost everyone has a standard apron, but buying vintage apron, will set your gift apart.
Scented Candle

I love scented candles. I can light one at anytime of the day or night for almost instant calm. Bring that same sense of peace to someone else’s home by buying them a scented candle. Opt for scents like vanilla, cinnamon and pumpkin spice to evoke holiday food memories and keep the kitchen smelling yummy. Stores like Yankee Candle are a good place to start.
Silicone Pot Holders/Mitts
I am not sure about you, but I am over buying cloth pot holders. They get dirty way to quickly and more importantly, they don’t do a good job of keeping the heat out. Silicone mitts like this one from Bed Bath & Beyond do a phenomenal job of keeping the heat out. I don’t think that I will be going back to cloth mitts anytime soon. The best part is, they keep your hands insulated up to 500 degrees.
Fresh Herbs/Window Garden
Fresh herbs are a must-have in the kitchen. The problem is however, is that they can be cumbersome to grow and the herbs that you purchase from the store are expensive and can rot quickly. That’s where the Chia Herb garden comes in hand. The garden is easy to grow and will turn anyone into an herb pro in no time! The Chia herb garden is available at Walgreens.
Photo Coasters

Everyone needs a nice set of coasters. Either that, or end up with water stains all over your favorite furniture.
Bed Bath & Beyond has a great set of coasters that your host can personalize to add a personal touch to any room. The best part about this, a set of 4 coasters only cost $5.99. Now that is what I call extreme value.
Disclosure: Nothing. I just like this stuff and thought you would too. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.

Naomi
Wow, I love the idea of a Chia herb garden. I was looking for an idea to get something small for my sister when she visits (we don’t usually do large gifts among adult siblings in our family). Thanks for this!!
