Wow your family and guests with these easy honey spiced nuts. This nutty recipe is the perfect balance of sweet and spicy and takes no more than 15 minutes to make.

Whether you’re looking for an easy snack for the holiday season, the New Year or the big game, these mixed nuts are a wonderful snack for a season of celebration. All you need are a few simple ingredients for some festive flavor that will impress your guests.

Which Nuts to Use in Honey Spiced Nuts

The beautiful thing about this recipe is that you can use whatever nuts you want. Some of the nuts that work best in this recipe are almonds, walnuts and cashews. If you’re not a fan of certain nuts, feel free to use your own blend.

Are These Nuts a Healthier Snack Option

This is a great recipe for healthier snacking because you are in control of the ingredients. Many of the packaged snack options during celebratory occasion are filled with unnecessary trans fats and too much sugar. While there is honey and sugar in this recipe, the amount is quite reasonable considering that there are eight servings in this recipe.

Tools Needed

Ingredients in Spiced Nuts Recipe

Nuts: Mixture of almonds, cashews and/or pecans: Make sure that you use raw unsalted nuts in this recipe. You can use any combination you like.

Honey: Reach for raw honey.

Brown sugar: There is some brown sugar in this recipe. Sprinkling it on at the end prevents the nuts from sticking and also gives them a delicious flavor. Feel free to use coconut sugar if you prefer.

Cinnamon: I love the taste of cinnamon. They help to give the nuts a yummy flavor.

Kosher salt: the size of the crystals make this type of salt ideal for the snack.

Cayenne pepper: Cayenne pepper give these nuts a bit of a kick for a sweet, spicy and savory combo and a nice hint of warmth.

Rosemary: The use of fresh rosemary makes this super delicious and the perfect cold weather snack.
