Please enjoy my recipe for BBQ sausage and peppers which my family absolutely adores. Happy Eating!
Serves 4-6 Cook 30 minutes
The Plan
1 pack Johnsonville Pork & Chicken Italian Sausage (sliced)
1 box (12 oz) farfalle or other bowtie pasta
1 red pepper (thinly sliced)
1/2 green pepper (thinly sliced)
1/2 large onion (thinly sliced)
2.5 tbsp oil (reserve 1.5 tbsp)
1/2 tsp fennel seed
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
The Execution
• Prepare 1 box of pasta according to package instructions
• Add 1 tablespoon of oil to skillet on medium heat
• When hot, add sausage and evenly brown on both sides
• Remove sausage from pan
• Pour remaining oil into skillet and sauté vegetables (onions and peppers)
• Add fennel seeds
• Cook vegetables until slightly tender
• Add sausage back into pan and continue to cook all ingredients until sausage is cooked through and all veggies are tender
• During the last 2 minutes of cooking add BBQ sauce
• Pour over prepared pasta

Hi Rose, I may have to try the breakfast bars recipe on your site. I wonder how well that would work with almond milk?
