Delicious BBQ Sausage and Peppers

These BBQ Sausage & Peppers are quick, easy and so tasty. A must try and family favorite.

Serves 4-6 Cook 30 minutes

The Plan

1 pack Johnsonville Pork & Chicken Italian Sausage (sliced)

1 box (12 oz) farfalle or other bowtie pasta

1 red pepper (thinly sliced)

1/2 green pepper (thinly sliced)

1/2 large onion (thinly sliced)

2.5 tbsp oil (reserve 1.5 tbsp)

1/2 tsp fennel seed

1/4 cup barbecue sauce

The Execution

• Prepare 1 box of pasta according to package instructions

• Add 1 tablespoon of oil to skillet on medium heat

• When hot, add sausage and evenly brown on both sides

• Remove sausage from pan

• Pour remaining oil into skillet and sauté vegetables (onions and peppers)

• Add fennel seeds

• Cook vegetables until slightly tender

• Add sausage back into pan and continue to cook all ingredients until sausage is cooked through and all veggies are tender

• During the last 2 minutes of cooking add BBQ sauce

• Pour over prepared pasta
