DC Food Truck Scene: Quesadillas & Empanadas
There is something about food trucks that I really enjoy. I don’t get to try them nearly as often as I would like to but when I do, I go all in. Like when I went to Nashville and tried The Grilled Cheesery…I still think about those sandwiches to this day. So last week I got to try a food truck a little closer to home.

Just look at the line of food trucks on one DC street. It can be really tough to make a decision about where to eat. I usually just follow the line. This is where the line led me to this time.
OK, so I succumbed to the visual cues and tried the Quesadillas & Empanadas food truck. Surprise. Surprise. The menu was filled with quesadillas and empanadas. I tried the gambas shrimp quesadillas.
These quesadillas have garlic shrimp, and cheddar/jack cheeses. Choose to fill your quesadillas with ingredients like rice, beans, quinoa, mushrooms, corn and more.

Delish.

I’ve been to that food truck; it’s popular! I don’t remember what I got, but it also had pineapple.
It’s funny that you aid you followed the line. But it makes a lot of sense in a situation like this one.
That is too coincidental. Never heard about them until that day. I need to get more in touch with the DC food truck scene. With the weather warming up soon, this seems like a great time.
My favorite food truck is Woodlands Vegan. They also have a store in NW DC.
I’m going to have to put that one on my radar Tyra.
