Almost 8 years ago I went in for a follow up pregnancy visit and 10 minutes later I was being admitted to the hospital for signs of preterm labor. I was about 25 weeks along. Hospital bed rest is no joke. I didn’t know if my baby would survive. Eventually born at 33 weeks, not only did she survive, but thrive she did. Now she’s getting ready for the second grade and I feel tremendously blessed.
She’s my opinionated, fashion forward, head strong seven (and don’t you dare forget the half) little momma. Much to my daughter’s chagrin, school has already kicked back up at home . Once the homeschool tutorial service kicks in, we will be back to school 100 percent.
This year, she will even get to wear a uniform. For two years she has wished and begged to wear a uniform to attend “school”. And now that it’s mandated, she doesn’t want to wear it. My Rain Drop wants to twirl in the possibilities of tutus, daydream in fancy dresses and ponder in a whirlwind of “personality showing” graphic tees.
It’s all good though, because Hanes has our back to school basics covered. From TAGLESS Cotton Stretch panties to ComfortBlend® Girls’ Ankle Socks, she’ll be ready and comfortable too. Can you imagine having to sit still at school in underwear with itchy labels and sagging socks? Eew!
On our non tutorial days she can show her fashionable side with graphic tees like this one. Oh yeah…she’s all about the tacos.
I just need to get some new shoes for those growing feet and she will be comfortable and ready for back to school from head to toe.
A few weeks ago, I scored some uniformed shirts and pants early and now all that’s left is to cross some items off those dreaded back to school lists.
If you want to cross some items off too, Hanes is partnering with me for a giveaway that may help.
Giveaway (1 winner)
$50 Hanes Visa Gift Card
3 Back-to-School Styles from Hanes (based on age and gender of winner)
Styles will include selections from Hanes® X-Temp® and FreshIQ™
By the way, I’m curious… when do your kids head back to school? I’ve already started to see some first day school pics on Instagram.
As far as the giveaway, you can enter that below.
A round of applause to Hanes for sponsoring this post. They have it going on.

School started here last week but mine is not old enough yet for school.
That’s interesting. What part of the country are you in Stephanie? I’ve noticed that schools in Georgia and Tennessee have already resumed classes.
Your daughter has so much personality! Mine ate college aged but dropped out of college and I have a one year old.
You have have no idea how right you are Wendy. You are in a full season of life yourself. Cheers to great week ahead.
I love that T shirt!
Yes! It’s a keeper.
I love Hanes T-shirts and underwear really is comfortable
