No one is immune to stress. This includes moms. When typing, the word “stress” into Google for example, the first words that pop are “stress management”. That’s because we’re all trying to do the best we can with what we have on our plates. And when it comes to being a mom, let’s face it… we all have a lot going on.

While these tips won’t make your life stressless, they’ll prevent you from being a stressed out mom. Are you ready for something different? Read on for some amazing stress relief tips for moms.

Spa Services

Ahh…spa services. While going to the spa may be seen as an act of indulgence, you may want to consider heading to the spa or creating a own spa experience at home for some good stress relief.

Having more spa days may mean that you have to skip out on other things like daily lattes and eating out. Neither of which are good for you anyway.

One of the small ways I incorporate weekly spa days at home is that I’ve designated Fridays as “Facial Fridays”. Every Friday for the last few months I’ve painted on my favorite skin care masks for 15-20 minutes of pour bliss.

The kids get pretty freaked out about seeing me walking around with my face painted this way and I actually get a kick about scaring them that way. When there is more discretionary income available, feel free to book yourself massages, scrubs and facials as you see fit.

Remember that birthdays, anniversaries or holidays prerequisites for this stress-free indulgence. The celebration is YOU.

Ridgecrest Herbals- Anxiety-Free

As the proud Ambassador of Ridgecrest Herbals, I get access to to a plethora of natural wellness products. One of these products is Anxiety Free, Stress Free Complex. At a recent conference, I heard about the “new to me brand” and I was intrigued.

Even though I don’t have clinical anxiety, my lifestyle is definitely high stress. Let me tell you something, that entrepreneurial homeschooling and traveling life is not always a “walk in the park”. One day you’re glammed up on television teaching your passion, the next day your teaching math and water is gushing through the kitchen light fixture all over the math papers as you’re teaching “how to multiply” two digit numbers.

Yes, it’s true.

Since the sample bottle of Anxiety Free was included in my conference bag, I decided to give it a try. I’ve been taking the Stress Relief Complex for about two months now and it’s really helped me to be more calm during these unexpected life moments.

What I like most is that Ridgecrest Anxiety Free is made with natural b vitamins, herbs and ayurvedic agents that I can feel good about taking.

That’s not the only thing that I do to manage stress but it’s not a constant part of my natural stress management routine. Read on to find out how you can win a 3 month supply on Ridgecrest Herbal’s Stress Free Formula!

Music Therapy

I really do enjoy music. It doesn’t matter whether I’m sitting listening to music in a car, while prepping dinner or a the grocery store. One of the things that can help especially during stress situations is listening to music. Last fall, I decided to take the plunge and pay for “commercial free” music that I can stream wherever whenever.

While that may seem like something small, you won’t believe how listening to the right type of music can calm the mind and the senses. Why do you think dentist offices have music playing when you go in for your visits?

They need you to be as calm as possible when you sit in the chair. As a matter of fact, I recently attended the International Spa Association meeting and one of the exhibitor booths was soley about music therapy.

As you can see, I’m not the only one that likes some good music. I guess you can say, it runs in family.

Exercise

Exercise is not just about keeping fit. Scientists have found that as little as five minutes of aerobic exercise can exhibit anti-anxiety effects. Not only that but, exercise can help to improve mood and sleep as well.

I find that getting my exercise in at the very top of the day, gives me a sense of accomplishment and the extra push to get other things crossed off my list as well.

Ask for Help

Whether you’re a new mom, seasoned mom, stay at home mom, working mom or single mom…every mom needs help and you can’t be afraid to ask for it. Hire a babysitter, outsource some tasks and ask your friends.

More times than not, your family and friends are willing to help. Whether it be watching your kids so that you can go to your doctor’s appointment child-free, finally get to go on a much needed date night, or going on a real vacation. Your friends and family get it.

Leaning on someone else for help doesn’t make you weak. Leaning on someone else for help makes you smart and strong.
