Have you been to Atlantis Resort, Paradise Island in the Bahamas? Atlantis is one of those places that everyone should try to visit once in their lifetime. Why? Well because if Disney World and Sea World could have a baby that lived in the Caribbean then Atlantis would be a runner up.
Island Style
Think beaches, restaurants, attractions, and expansive water play all in one spot. But before you go here are five insider tips about Atlantis Resort that I hope will make your trip a bit better.
Atlantis is Big…Really Big
There are five resorts on property so research each one and choose the resort that suits you and your family best.
Stay a While
If you are going to travel to the Bahamas and put down the cash to stay at the Atlantis resort then stay awhile. This destination is not meant for a quick two or three day stay. Think about staying 5-7 days to take full advantage of all the things the resort has to offer.
Kid Friendly Does Not Mean Kid-Centric
Atlantis Resort is definitely a kid friendly hotel destination. However, when dining with your family, be sure to make dinner reservations early. Restaurants like the Mesa Grill will take reservations for parties dining with children no later than 5:30 or 6pm.
It Can Get Expensive
If you want to save a little, resorts like Comfort Suites Paradise Island give hotel guests access to the facilities at the Atlantis Resort. In addition places like the Fish Fry at Arawak village have several restaurants for an exciting and delicious change of pace. There are 30 restaurants and bars to choose from.
Walk it Out
Atlantis resort is really spread out. To take advantage of all the property has to offer be ready to do lots of walking. This means that if there are little feet in your family, they will definitely benefit from being pushed around in a stroller. So, be sure to take your stroller with you.
