1.Sunscreen

No matter your skin tone, protecting your skin against harmful UVA/UVB is top priority at the beach. So pack a sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 30 for your beach trip. Don’t forget to re-apply every 2 hours.

2. Water

Not all beaches come equipped with beach attendants or restaurants nearby so make sure you walk with a bottle of water to keep hydrated.

3. Towel

Bring a thirsty towel to dab off all that salt water that comes from a day at the beach. Unless, the beach you are going to has towels and beach butlers, than this is top priority.

4. Good Book or Glossy Magazine

Everyone has a different agenda for their beach day. Some people get into water sports while other just like to chill. But if your kids will let you, bring a nice glossy magazine do some browsing.

5. Hair Conditioner

Depending on your type and texture, coating your strands with hair conditioner prior to taking a dip may be a good idea.  Some conditioner and styling products even contain sunscreen.

6. Elastic Hair Bands

Headbands or elastic bands are a always a good idea especially for longer hair.  I found some great ones from Lollies and they really did the trick.

7. Beach Playlist

A great day at the beach deserves a great beach playlist. If you don’t have one then you can borrow mine.

8. Lip Balm with Sunscreen

Sunscreen is an important part of any outdoor activity. As you are getting prepped your day at the beach, be sure not to forget your lips as well.

9. Sunglasses

Protecting our eyes and vision is top priority. Remember that sunburn can occur on the retina of the eye also. And as if that’s not motivation just remember…crow’s feet.

10. Wide brimmed hat

Wide brim hats are great for keeping the skin supple and wrinkles at bay. Not to mention, a great looking beach hat just looks fab!
