I have been told that I take gift giving a little too seriously. I don’t mind though. If you are going to go through the trouble of getting someone a gift, you might as well make it something that suits them. By the way, this doesn’t mean that the gift has to be expensive. But, it’s really special when you take the time to think about the recipient. That being said, I have carefully selected 15 gifts for this kids holiday gift guide. What’s special is that this holiday gift guide was specifically put together for the young children in your life.
So many times, gift guides lump it all together but, today we are championing for the little guys. Disclosure: Some affiliate links have been used but you can take all the credit when you see the smiles on their faces on Christmas Day.
I have yet to meet a kid that doesn’t like to use their imagination. How about you? With the Kidkraft Uptown Expresso Kitchen, kids can create imaginatiive 5 star meals in their own gourmet kitchen. What’s great is that this “play kitchen” looks like the real thing. It even has a built-in chalkboard for writing the specials of the day. Now, I could use that.
Now who doesn’t love Legos? If you thought your little one was too small for Legos then you couldn’t be more mistaken. My first Duplo Set is for kids from just over one year old. Yes, we are in the computer age, but it’s important for children to work on fine motor skills through toys like Legos, where they can manipulate and use their hands.
What if your little one had their own space? A place that they could crawl or run too and just be them. This is what this Discovery Kids Adventure Play Tent is like. Our kids have one in our basement and they love it. Little man (1 1/2yrs) crawls through the tubular part and big sister (4.5 yrs) likes to stay at top and have tea parties. It suites them both.
When I was potty training our princess, this Little Mommy Princess and The Potty Doll was an absolute life saver. It pretty much helped solidify the bathroom habits that we were already working on at home. The best part…it’s a real doll that any little girl will appreciate whether potty training or not.
Loveable, squeezable, adorable Care Bears are back in a whole new way. The colors are more vivid and bears are just really soft and plush. Trust me, I know. Got a sneak peek during the 2014 Blogger Bash in New York City and these are not the Care Bears that you grew up with.
I don’t know any little kid that doesn’t like to play dress up. As a matter of fact, I still play dress up. My clothes are just a bit fancier these days. Just Pretend Kids let’s kids go nuts with their selection of dress up clothing. Besides the regular princess and tutu staples, Just Pretend Kids has animal costumes for boys and girls too.
Melissa and Doug Puzzles are well made pieces that will stand the test of time. Beautifully crafted, some sets can be used for children as young as a year old.
One of my fondest memories growing up was getting Highlights as a kid. I still remember the feeling of waiting until my “mail” came with my name on it. It was so exciting. Your child can have a similar experience with
Highlights High Five. Highlights Five is specifically for children 2-6 and the magazine is just so much fun!
I don’t know what 3-5 year old little girl doesn’t like Doc McStuffins. This
Doc McStuffins Walk ‘N Talk Doll is the newest addtion to the Doc McStuffins family.
The VTech Cody The Smart Cub Plush Toy is recommended for kids 6 months to 36 months and can do everything from wish your child “Happy Birthday”, play a special lullaby, and engage your child to play and learn. Choose your favorite color.
You have your own tablet and now they can have theirs. The

To play with Kinetic Sand is to love it. The best part is, there’s no mess.
The Radio Flyer, Red is a classic “give”. Any little person would love to see one under the tree.
What do you get when you combine the Frozen craze with an Etch a Sketch? The Disney Frozen Etch A Sketch Jr. by Ohio Art of course! There’s at least one child on your holiday gift list that will go crazy for this.
Kids love these books because they can read the books on their own or use the Story Reader Me Reader to listen to the story as if someone were reading it to them. This is a Disney classic 8 book library.
These may look like your typical crayons but they definitely aren’t. Jumbo Beeswax Crayons – 24 ct. are the right size so they won’t easily slip from little hands. They color smoothly and won’t roll off of the table and break because they are triangular in shape. These crayons would make a great stocking stuffer for your budding artist.
