It’s approaching that time of year again. Time to get the kids back to school! For all my home schooling buddies, you may not have even taken the summer off… but regardless of where you school, this post is intended to get you back on the track from the summer hiatus. Here are five home management tricks to get you through and past the busy school year ahead.
Summer is generally not a season of routine but of flux. Family vacations, summer camps, barbeques and pool dates decorate the calendar. Toys, video games and a tremendous lack of order decorate you life! But, the consistent routine of the school year ahead is an opportunity to put everything back into perspective. One of the ways to do that is to get the kitchen in order. You may not believe me but, the heartbeat of your home is in the kitchen. The kitchen is where meals are planned & made, bellies are nourished and what happens in the kitchen can set the tone of your entire family’s budget and your home. As such, it is utterly important to keep the kitchen clean, the grocery budget in check and delicious meals on the table. Think about it. I’m sure that they would seem content. But, would they be energetic, would they be focused? Most importantly would their bellies be full?
We have many great recipes here to help you get started. And to keep your kitchen as the consistent heartbeat in your home:
Also of importance is fighting the constant hurricane of clutter that can occur especially when raising young kids (raising my hand on this one).
