I am not one of those women that has to have tons of shoes and clothes in her closet. But, what I do believe in is making my clothes work smarter for me. That means buying key quality pieces that will last long and work well with other clothing in my closet… hopefully “standing the test of time”.
That’s why when MyClothingHelper contacted me to try their clothing organizer system, I jumped at the chance. MyClothingHelper is a way to keep track of what you wear and when you have worn it. The actual “tracker” comes with a card and a ribbon that you can easily slide to the desired slot once you have worn an item.
For example, here is one of my favorite dresses that just came back from the cleaner.
If you look closer, I have slid the tracker on “C” to reflect that the dress is clean.
Once the dress has been worn the first time, I will slide the indicator to one. When worn the second time, I can slide it to 2 and so on. It is up to you how often you want to wear a garment before you put it on “C” again. You may decide after wearing a garment once on a hot and sweaty day that you will get it cleaned. So it is totally up to you.
You can even use the numbers to coordinate with the days of the week. One could be “Sunday” and two could be “Monday”. This system is great for any type of clothing but, I think that it would be especially good for uniforms. Sometimes when you are wearing the same coat/shirt/scrubs to work or even a school uniform it can be hard to remember when you wore what. You may be putting your clothing in the laundry everyday depending on soiling. But, if you worked a half-day for example, you may want to wear the garment again. Think about what money saving implications that could have.
